Neal Andrews spoke about the importance of keeping arts and artists in Ventura before invited guests visited artists’ studios guided by WAV artist Jackie Woods. The MC for the entertainment was the multi-talented WAV artist Jillian Nye pictured above.
Hawks and Britt, a vocal and guitar duo, started off the evening entertainment, followed by a theatrical skit by John Leamer, Vonder Gray and Britten Barry. Then there was Melvin “Spoony” Brannon on bass, Keiron Barry on keyboard and guest violinist Joe Turner played until it was Diane Ippel’s turn to tantalize the crowd with her dulcimer.
