Jazz at its Best – Ebony Ann Blaze at the WAV

Music, Art and Dance happened at the WAV in a great way Friday May 31, 2013. Ebony Ann Blaze put on a fundraiser to further the education of children interested in a music career. Ebony invited Bonner, Goudelis and Clark to back her up in the most incredible way. By the end of the evening the singer and jazz trio received a standing ovation!

Paintings by WAV artist Frances Spencer graced the main gallery walls, and metal and natural fiber sculptures by WAV artist Catlin Blair Harvey were the backdrop to the musicians. A truly inspiring evening of collaborative art.

Kids Say, “No Plastic Bottles Please!”

Kids’ Arts collaborates with WAV, with a project by WAV artist Nancy DeLucrezia to bring awareness to the negative effects of buying and using plastic bottles. The chalk drawing concept is by Sarah Kalvin. A video produced by Alignment Matrix, Inc., is directed by Stew Birbrower. It will have a rap-like tune by Montino Bourbon. The video can be viewed on both www.AlignmentMatrix.com and on YouTube in the near future.

WAV’s Erik Abel “Branches” out to Washington DC in Poster Form

Sky Diver Revisited – Vonder back at the WAV!

Vonder was back at the WAV for a Sky Diver performance April 2013. The Theater Gallery was filled with her swirling abstracts and Vonder portraits that tell the story of a lifetime of ups and downs. Just like any sky diver would expect out of life.
